Soccer AidPosted on Jun 22, 2015
Soccer Aid started in 2006 as a brainwave of Unicef UK ambassador Robbie Williams. Every two years two teams of celebrities and football legends from England and the Rest of the World play a match to raise funds for Unicef and change the lives of children around the world.
Since it first began Soccer Aid has raised over £18 million for Unicef’s work with children and has involved legendary players Diego Maradonna, Zinedine Zidane and Teddy Sheringham as well as music, film and TV stars from around the globe.
Funds raised through Soccer Aid have helped children around the world though UNICEF’s work on health, education, nutrition, water, HIV and AIDS and protection for vulnerable children.
Swatkins Group is extremely proud to supply Soccer Aid with the winning team’s trophy every 2 years.
